Cumberland Furnace is a historic rural community located in Dickson County, Tennessee, known for its deep roots in the early American iron industry. Established in the late 18th century, it was one of the state’s earliest ironworks, founded by General James Robertson and later operated by prominent industrialists such as Montgomery Bell.
